Me too - I like the way the area to the right of the cloud
balances diagonally with the area taken up by the tree:

I most like this abstract of the table:

...and would love to see the original. I thought that the
fence behind might benefit by being sharp, but it has an
appealing softness in itself too.

This:

...reminds me of a TOPE image (TOPE10 - Water) that was
turned into a tryptich. I really like this idea, of looking
through an unfocussed gap into sharpness (I also like candids
done like this, with a sharp image of a face or person amongst
other unsharply portrayed folk). The TOPE10 image which I
really like (with reservations mentioned in my comments
therein), by Juan Carlos Pachon is here:

(sorry if this wraps - just do the cut-and-paste thing)

This one of the table, no longer abstracted, I also like quite
a bit, though I wonder if just a touch more foreground, and getting
the either end of the table in would have improved it. I love the
tones in the fence:

(Just my opinion, and I'm not a photographer with sufficient
skill for those opinions to be assigned much value. Oh, and
bsandyman/Clendon, you made the comment about my Summer Exchange
photo "Marc makes better use of light though.". I can't take
credit for that - that's unpainted corrugated iron making it's usual
good use of the light...I just took the photo :-) )

Cheers
Marc (who's reassured to see that someone else uses the 50mm lens a
fair bit)
