Yes, but not for long. The voltage drop with use/age and the current
delivery characteristics are not compatible with electronic shutter
SLRs, Oly and others. Herb Keppler's discussion of bateries in the Sept.
Pop Photo doesn't have as much accurate and useful info on batteries as
this list, but at least he makes clear the inadequacy of these lithium
batteries.
It's all so clear and well documented; there is one best battery. Use
Eveready 357 cells for longest, most reliable life and most accurate
metering in all OMs that take 1.5v button cells! If they aren't
available, use another brand of 357 or SR44W. Anything else is a stopgap
that will make you crazy with it's on-again/off-again performance near
the end of its all to short useful life.
They are available really cheap, too, on the 'net, like under $.70@,
including shipping. One source is

until mid-August, will have gone TWO YEARS on one set, and it's

taking the batteries out. I figure my battery cost is about 1%
of my film expenditure, not counting processing. Even my oldest
OM-4, circa 1983, an alleged battery-eater whose beep goes on
forever, goes 6-8 months on a pair.
This is probably the single most useful thing I have learned in my

Essentially one of these is twice the height of the individual SR44 silver
oxide button cell.....
does this harm the circuitry or cause my camera to go haywire like what i
