On the subject of mosquitoes - I do not think there is any substitute for a good fine mesh headnet (over the hat type) and longsleeves/silk or cotton gloves.

Cheers LEE

Hi Ken, er, AG,

Isle Royale... First thing that came to mind (after the wave of jealousy)
was mosquitoes... No, I've never been there, but with the amount of water
around... I would want the ORIGINAL mosquito repellant, DEET. No woosie
organic substitute, but the original, brain damage risk and all. Deer flies,
horse flies, black flies, stable flies, no-see-ums, mebbee hornets... DEET.
If you're lucky, the area will have had its first frost of the season.
That'll slow 'em down a bunch. Otherwise, you'll be poked, drilled,
chewed,.... kinda like the NW Territories (B52 bomber mosquitoes). DEET.

Bet you're gonna love those new boots. There is just no substitute.

Isle Royale. Wolves and moose! I would be laying awake at night, watching
the stars (and hopefully auroras), listening for all I was worth, just to
hear one howl.

Please let us know which AG-nose lenses you'll be taking. and why. :-)

Rich
