Hi people,

While I am waiting for a digital back for my OMs . . I thought I
would buy a digital 35mm scanner - the PrimeFilm 1800 looks like a
good deal?

Any experience/suggestions?

Anyone here use Linux with photo software?

Thanks,

Phil.

Probably a good idea. When you consider the several thousand dollar
cost of a new digital slr plus lenses, and even a digital back with a
5 or 6 megapixel chip, if it existed, would cost well over a
thousand, spending a substantial sum for a really good scanner does
not seem like a bad idea. Plus you have the original photos which can
always be seen regardless of changes in technology.
