Film can definitely have an impact, as different ones accentuate different
colors. Velvia, for example, really shows red/orange. I would suggest
shooting slides, maybe early or late in the day before the sun gets too
"strong". Also, did you scan the negatives or the photos themselves? Could
be the processor printing the photos doing a poor job.
