Not originally. This was a factory refurb job by Olympus and did not
have the latest firmware upgrade. I sent it in to them before the 90
day warranty expired and they replaced the CCD (they said it was
defective) and upgraded it to the latest firmware with the
pixel-remapping feature. I'm quite happy with the camera and I never
thought I would say that!! I think it has helped make me a better
photographer due to the instant feedback I get and the fact I can shoot
and shoot and shoot!! Easy to do when all you have to do is hit the
delete button!!

I had borrowed the E-20 for a weekend and found the noise issues. does
your E10 not have Automatic Pixel Mapping to get rid of dead pixels? It
was a firmware upgrade at one point.

on the APM point, does any other manufacturer offer this feature? seems
very handy

Tom,
How are the noise levels on the E-20? On my E-10, it can get pretty
nasty at ISO 320 for time exposures. I've heard there is some noise
adjustment algorithms in the E-20 to reduce the noise. BTW - I just got
my E-10 back from Olympus. I was getting a lot of 'dead' or 'hot' pixels

and they replaced the CCD and updated the firmware and increased the
warranty another 6 months!!

Honestly, I'm not going to be in a hurry to trade up from the E-20
either. Wider would be nice, as would a little longer, but neither is a
requirement. Faster write times would be a big factor. I guess the
beauty of the interchangeable lenses would be that I could get the wide
angle or the super long tele or or or or or.

Heck a 21 equivalent would be tough to even make!
