Thanks Winsor

I must admit that the passage of life is one thing that gets me
emotional... but I found the artist with Google, and I heard about
the South African through another school friend whom I contacted
through www.friendsreunited.co.uk. That's a success story by the
way: a couple run the website from home and they make their money
through subs and advertising.

Reminds of when I was 16: I hitched around Europe and visited Paris

Seine. I'm sure it was fun at the time ;-).

The Canadian, Alex de Cosson, became an artist; the South African
became, apparently, a maker of "blue" films and sniffs white stuff.
Isn't life strange?

Very nice little anecdote. Thanks for sharing, Chris. In today's
mass society with fleeting connections it is amazing that you know
what happened to them.
