The petal hood is a joke, tha't only advantage is the ability to be reversed
for storage.
If you want to see a real hood, check out the ones for the Xpan. they are
rectangular, like the frame. The top and bottom are less that the diameter
of the mount, while the left and right edges are quite a bit wider. It is
obvious that they are calculated to the edge of the frame.
Just how good can a petal hood do with big chunks missing?
