Cavitating even further off topic ;-) Cavitation also is a concern to
sailors (and of course boat designers). When cavitation occurs on your
rudder, you loose directional control. When cavitation occurs on your
centerboard or keel you don't go to weather as well and loose speed.

OM Content: An example of a very fast monohull dinghy (they are called
International 18' Skiffs, or more affectionately known as "Aussie Eyedeens")
that does not appear to have much of a problem with cavitation ;-)
