Siddiq,
I do not know about the Konica; but I agree on the manual/meter thing. I carried a small RF around for more then 10 years as my sole camera - the meter of which I never really trusted or used from the start. But it was fully manual exposure (and actually distance focus) and I even achieved many nice results using slide film like Agfachrome 50.

I think I would be inclined to make the manual setting option a priority too. Even if it meant getting as handheld meter as an accessory for the times I wanted one.

i don't believe the s3 has manual override. that's one of the big features i really want. i realize metering will uncouple in manual mode, but all i need is one meter reading of a scene, and then i can change aperture/shutter as needed from there, with small variations if needed to account for changing brightness. precision is not a big deal, we're talking print film here.
