Not really in contrast. More in agreement, except you can obviously remember 
the correct description of the beast. The only problem with the shoe cord, 
which I have said I use and like, is that there aren't many about second hand, 
and the cost new is seriously silly. If anyone sees one at a good price, buy it!
The part I don't know about is the #3 option as proposed originally, which 
looked to me like an adaptor which goes in the hot shoe and has a *SOCKET*. 
This is not an Olympus item (as far as I know), but could be available off - 
brand.
