Actually, once the clutch "grabs" on either model, it ceases to be a factor.
The difference in "feel" is mostly attributable to the difference in the "throw"
-- the wind lever on the older OM-1(n)/OM-2(n) travels significantly further
than the later OM's, so the later models have to accomplish more in a shorter
range -- hence, they feel rougher.
