There were two analog videodisc standards, Laserdisc and the
RCA version (I cannot remember the exact name).  The RCA disc
was played with a stylus.  I still own a Pioneer Laserdisc
player and it works just fine.  Laserdiscs were still being
manufactured last year, though they might be discontinued now.
