More info on Grand Canyon North Rim:
The North Rim Visitor Center closes on October 15th. The North Rim
Backcountry Office closes on October 31st. The Arizona Highway Department
will [attempt to] keep Arizona Highway 67 open until November 15th (road to
north rim). Starting November 1st, it's very, very wise to check status of
this highway ***and*** local weather conditions. You don't want to get
into the north rim and discover the road closed by a snowstorm when you try
to leave. Heavy snow closes this road completely from mid-Fall until
mid-Spring.
