You can always just hold filters in front of the lens -- it's a two-handed
job (unless you have more dexterity than I do) but the XA's easy enough to
use single-handed.
I've got a nice shot of sunset clouds taken through someone's sunglasses
(as a cheap substitute for a pink filter) like this -- worked amazingly
well, all things considered.
