I used to do it a lot. Mounting the slides is the most labor intensive part.
I have a hot mounting press but is not a very convenient design (read
cheap). E-6 is easy to do if you have a darkroom and a little less
convenient if you don't. /jim

It's tempting, but, I unfortunately have zero space to do so and get good
(read clean and dust free) results living in a fairly small place with a
family of 5. Just editing and scanning slides is sketchy already. I'm still
tempted to though, due to the lack of weekend E-6 service from my lab and
the need to get images out fast on race weekends.

It would be quite a chore to run the number of rolls I would need to without
a dip and dunk machine.
