The old saying "There's no substitute for cubic inches!" comes to mind... of
course one 4x5 frame has more film area than a 12-exposure roll of 35mm
frames... but I suspect the OM's will still be perferred for moving
subjects. I only used a 4x5 once, but the print is astounding, entirely
grainless, a still-life of a pear that looks good enough to eat... I didn't
get to try color, I can just imagine what those look like. For scanning,
you'll need something like the Epson 2450, then its just practice, practice,
practice. I find Vuescan software works better with my scanner (Umax 1220S)
than the manufacturer's software does. You could always take your 4x5's in
for a drum scan... nothing like 8000dpi on a 4x5 image <g>. One file per
CD...
