Like I said it's hit or miss I have a Silvernose
50/1.4 with a SN 300K and it works prety well even at
1.4 but like you I haven't blown anything up with that
lens beyond 4x6. I looked through one of these
sivenoses though at a used camera shop and COULD NOT
focus the thing it was so soft wide open.
