I have one of those large cases. It is more than sturdy enough to carry
about in most situations. It is set up to hold two bodies and 3 to 5
lenses.
It has the limitation that it has no real place to stow filters, lens
tissue, other stuff. One can put those things loosely in the case and be
okay, though.
Finally, be careful where you carry it. My case is really "pretty." It
shouts EXPENSIVE STUFF IS IN HERE! So, if you don't mind a rather high
profile and you want to carry the fruits of your Zuikoholism in the proper
Zuikoholic bag, you are on the right track.
