Hmm... I think you missed the peak by one day? It was pretty un-promising here in Palo Alto, CA. Mind you, we are in the middle of a BIG valley (Silicon Valley) with light pollution, clouds, and the full moon was really bright. I checked around 10, then at 12, and even at 2AM when the peak supposed to start, and didn't see anything Then I checked again at 2:20AM and saw 3 in less than 30 seconds. So we dragged some chairs out to the backyard, woke the older kid up, and sat out for about 30 minutes. I'd say may be on average about 6 per minutes, tops. A few were fairly bright with trails lasting half a second. It's a pretty good show considering our location. I set the camera up but there wasn't enough meteors in the field of view to shoot so I stopped after a few shots.
