Beer Fairy HUH..... That brings back memories. About 40 years ago a friend
and I made a very strenuous five-day wilderness trip that culminated with a
climb straight up an open canyon wall about 4000 feet high. A friend had
promised to leave us some beers in the creek on the trail to the parking
area. We ran out of water about half way up the canyon wall and were very
sick and dehydrated when we got to the creek. There was the most beautiful
sight imaginable, a six pack of nice cold beer. They were empties with the
open end facing down. Not all Beer Fairies are good. /jim

Thanks! It's incredible country, and I highly recommend visiting.

This was our first day out. After climbing over 1000 feet from the
trailhead with full packs, it was starting to rain and we were getting
cold, wet, and tired. We came across 3 beers just next to the trail
that were obviously jettisoned by some hikers tired of carrying the
weight. After stopping to take pictures, we scooped them up and
proceeded to climb the last few hundred feet to our campsite, with
spirits considerably lightened. So, many thanks to the anonymous Beer
Fairy - they sure tasted good! Even though they were only Miller
Genuine Draft, which is clearly legible on the full-resolution scan
thanks to the XA's great lens!
