I use a Kinesis modular belt system when I'm going to be walking around
with my gear for the better part of a day. No more bags for me unless
they're very light: 1 body and 3-4 lenses. http://www.kinesisgear.com
It's very flexible, very well-designed, and very rugged. It's also saved
my back more times than I can count.
I've tried just about all the belt/fanny packs and they've all gotten sold.
The Kinesis system is much more flexible and comfortable than any
fanny-type pack that I've owned (which was four different bags).
I had a Lowe-Pro Orion for many, many years, and since I went to Kinesis,
it didn't get used. The big advantage of it however was it's price. The
Kinesis stuff isn't cheap.
My advice and what I was told to do many years ago....Take your gear to a
good, well stocked store with the intention to purchase something. Load
your gear into the bags that you think you might want and carry them or
pick them up. Then take the one that you like and buy it right there.
You'll be happy, the store will be happy.
