I'm happy enough with an old HP PhotoSmart SCSI model. Price for one in
good condition with all accessories should be just over your $100.
Cheaper if you don't need the SCSI card and download the software. Gets
you a 2400dpi scan at a budget price and faster than USB. Hey, kinda old
tech now and maybe not the sharpest knife in the drawer and no ICE but I
get good results. Plus I could afford it so that's better than no
results at all.
