Albert,

I must disagree with you on this one.  I have owned a digital camera
since about 1999, an Olympus of course (C2020 Zoom), and with view
finders the LCD on the back is much more accurate than the range
finder.  Especially when shooting macros and short range zooming.  At
the minimum focus distance (about 9") the view finder contains only
the top 500f the subject that you can see in the view.

For digital SLRs and cameras with Electronic View Finders this is of
course not true.

I think that the reason the pictures come out worse is it's harder to
hold the camera steady when it's away from your body and not on a
tripod.
