Another thing that you might want to keep an eye out for is an OM-4 that has been converted to T(i) circuitry. This was apparently the common repair solution for OM-4 bodies with circuit failures for some time.

Doesn't work with the F280, as the extra contacts on the hot shoe aren't there. Cosmetically different looking even beyond the model label. The black over brass finish of the '4' seems actually more durable (and 'brasses' more attractively) than the less smooth black over titanium finish of the 'T(i)'. May actually have newer circuitry than an older T(i), depending on respective repair and manufacture dates. Patience required to find a converted '4'. I bought 2 and passed on 1 or 2 over a period of about 1.5 yrs of careful watching.

Used to be significantly cheaper than T(i) bodies. I haven't been keeping track, as I don't need any more bodies, but the spread might be even greater now. The spread when I bought one of each in late 2000 was $275 vs. $566, with the Ti in a bit better cosmetic condition. With the way T(i) prices have been going, my Ex++ Ti lives on a shelf in a case while the converted OM-4 bodies do the work.

Possibly just you. I've been looking for an OM-4T/Ti on the 'bay for weeks now, and have been disappointed both by the low numbers and the high prices. Criminy, gold's cheaper!
