There is an adjustment for spot, but that is done with a 50. Readings with
other lenses fall where they may.

Thomas,

I tried your experiment with both of my OM-4Ts and essentially duplicated
your results with a 50/1.4 and a 21/3.5. Since both of my 4Ts have been
through John H's shop with in the last couple of years and I know from lots
of Provia shooting that both achieve good, reliable, and consistant
exposures with all of my lenses, I conclude that John and Clint are right:
this is normal behavior, as well as acceptable performance. I'd suggest
further testing by exposing slide film on average reflectance subjects to
convince yourself, if necessary.

Regards,
Gary Edwards

Hello Ladies and Gentlemen,

a Happy not so New anymore Year to all of you.

By chance I noticed something with my OM4 (focussing screen 2-4)
which puzzles me: I took a reading from gray card in AUTO (center
weighted average), then pressed the SPOT button, and the little
diamond jumped one full Stop to the right (double exposure time).
The compensation dial was set to Null.

I did some more testing:
