It seems to me that if you need to choose between MF and a darkroom
now, that it is going to take a while to finally get both going. By
that time MF may be at the same point that 35mm is now, ie., being
superceded by digital. Especially 645. If I wanted to do film for
its own sake I would pop for the field camera you mentioned and get
really big chromes, and B&W with beautiful textures.
