Am tempted too, then photography review said that the lens has some chroma
abberation problems etc. For all I know its not anyway visible to the
average user printing 4 x 6 or even 8.5 by 11 prints.

Still, it would be nice to buy second hand at USD 250? When, after a year
and a half ?

Dear Zuiks and Zuikettes

Amateur Photographer has just carried out a review of three 5mp
cameras. The 5050 came ahead (by a "nose") of the Minolta Dimage
thingy and the Coolpox 5700. The pictures of the cameras made me
consider having a look at them, especially as the 5050 was the
cheapest at £700 sterling (I'm sure though it is cheaper in the
reasonable shops). But then I remembered: this camera will be in the
FS columns of AP pretty soon as the next great piece of machinery
comes out.

Phew! Saved myself in the nick of time!

;-)

Chris (who will probably continue to be tempted)
