Batteries, batteries.  Keep some extras in your pants pocket or somewhere
warm for cold weather work.  This is pretty typical behavior for the 4 (and
2S) so try the stuff in the next para before sending it in again.

To unjam it, turn the shutter speed dial to the red area - that's mechanical
shutter and it should unjam right away. (You have to push in the little tiny
tab to get the shutter ring to go to the red part.) You can keep shooting on
red 1/60 even with dead batteries, of course, no meter.

John Hermanson, who regularly posts to this list, is an Olympus trained
repair guy in NYC.
