Ah, that makes sense. The eSIF only mentions a screw-on hood and mine is
a clamp-on.
Even reversed, it won't fit in the case with the lens like some of the WAs.

on version I've got seem shorter than normal (fewer) but the hood screws
on smoothly and securely.
The thread on hoods stack nicer but the clamp on hoods are easier to use
AND some can be reversed!!!
