To minimize shadows your light must come from a very large source or from
opposing directions. Commercial light tents or light boxes, such as those
made by Photoflex, are good for controlling shadow effects. These tend to be
expensive and are usually only practical if you have enough use to justify
them. Umbrellas and reflectors to control and smooth light from your flashes
also are very helpful and tend to be less expensive. Portrait photographers
seldom want "shadowless" effects but rather want to soften and control the
lighting balance and intensity. Light can be diffused many ways and people
on this list have used some clever means. Gallon-sized plastic milk jugs
with a little cutting have been suggested by some. Others shoot through
light cloth or even facial tissues. Listen to what responses you get from
your question and then let your imagination loose and experiment. /jim

What are some of the best setup equipment gadgets to create shadowless
photographs for catalog work, bugs, people. I just hate shadows where the
don't belong
Thanks in advance for the help
