I really had no control over the contrast in taking the photo. What I did
though was clip the white end of the histogram and added a bit of
sharpening. The histogram adjustment has become my favorite tool . I used
to use brightness and contrast adjustments quite a bit, but not much since
learning how to play the histogram game. Even with my film / slides and
scanner (Canon FS 4000US) I find that the histogram adjustment is my first
choice in editing.
