John;

I don't blame you for your concern. Some of this does sound suspicious. His
pos feedback looks good at +143. But if you look at the feedback, there are
a large number of positives which are from the same people. Many for 1.99
or so items. I dunno.

What's kind of ironic is that the ONLY time I've gotten screwed buying over
the web was when I bought a - yup - an OM-3Ti. Yeah, about 5 or 6 years ago
I bought it (this was on Yahoo auctions), and I paid for it, but I never got
it. Actually there were 2 of us in on the buy, myself and another list
member. In another lightning strike of irony, that other list member is an
MD! The -3Ti was listed as a package with a lens or 2 and a flash IIRC. In
any case, I wanted the camera, the other list member wanted the other stuff.
Only the seller got anything - our money. We looked closely and
cross-referenced feedback etc and found that he and his wife had several
auction handles and were giving each other positive feedback! We tried to
get the SOB via FTC and Post Office. We even found out where he lived, but
all to no avail.

I'm much more cautious now. Especially on big ticket items.

I hope this works out well for you. My suggestion in future for real
expensive stuff is to go with a middle-man like escrow.

George (who still has never even held a -3Ti in his hands)

I have just sent him an email telling him I was interrested in looking at
his items again, and asked why, to my surprise, they are all gone.

Thanks for any help,
John
