[OM] Technical Pan?

In class we've been doing all of our homework on HP-5 up until now. It's ok, I guess, but no matter what I do the grain seems oppressive. I tried using half-strength chemistry last time and using a longer developing time and it may have come out a little less grainy, but not much. Anyway, as of yesterday we can use whatever B&W film we want as long as we can process it with D-76 chemistry. We're also not allowed to use Kodak T-Max films, for whatever reason. Since Pan-X isn't around anymore, I was wondering if Technical Pan might be a good alternative. Does anyone have any experience with it? I used to really like Pan-X and as far as I can tell this is supposed to be its successor.
