They do sometimes strip out -- look closely, comparing it with another body.  If
the hole is bigger and brassy looking, it may be stripped.  If it's smaller, the
post from another shoe has been broken off inside.  If so, you can try
unscrewing it with a small screwdriver -- it should come out by turning
counter-clockwise, just like normal (original OM-1 and OM-2 shoe ports are
threaded "backwards", so they would have to be turned clockwise to remove).
