Thanks for the tip. I looked more closely and compared the socket to that of
an OM-1n.  Indeed there is an accessory shoe post broken off inside the
socket.  Now to extract it.  I'm trying jewelers screwdrivers, but not luck
so far.  Anyone have any other ideas to extract the post?
