Hi all

I guess others will get this too. But here goes:

Any two digit number can be represented by 10a + b where 'a' and 'b' both
ranges from 0-9.
So when you choose any two digit number and add the two digits and subtract
the result from the original number you get:
10a + b -(a+b) = 9a.
Remember range of 'a' is 0-9. Hence your result can be one of the few
multiples of 9 only, i.e. 0, 9, 18........81.

Every time you reset the puzzle, all these numbers are assigned identical
symbols. You click on the crystal ball and voila, you get the symbol
corresponding to the one your result. :-)

Have a nice day.
Arnab.
