Wonder if the front element is still available. Even if it's not, with a
little lamp black or India ink properly applied, this could well be, if
the price stays low, the ultimate "user" lens Fang. If I didn't have one
already, I just might be tempted. It's going to be ugly and painful to
look at, but this this is one helluva lens.
And, no, since it was dropped, a filter wouldn't have saved it.
