Why not swap with an OM 1 owner who would like to have the memoholder? There should be at least one on the list.

When you peel back the covering you'll see two tabs on each side of the
holder, spot-welded to the back. Simply grind them away with your Dremel,
then do a bit more grinding to smooth the surface.
