I've had all three and for a general-purpose lens, the 85/2 is far-and-away my 
favorite.  I loved the 100/2.8's reach, but it wasn't bright enough when you 
compare it to the 85.  I found it a better lens to kit-mate with a 135 as the 
100 was too close.  The 100/2 is stellar and a better lens, but it's twice the 
size and a LOT more expensive.  I settled on the 90/2 and the 85/2, which are 
on different ends of the spectrum WRT weight and size.

I'd try the 85/2 and if you feel you don't have enough reach, then the 100/2 
could be evaluated.
