Grain's somewhat smoother, more consistent throughout, especially in shadow
areas. In a way that's not bad, but I wouldn't want to see it any closer to
T-Max, that's for sure.
It still has the "look" of Tri-X in important respects. I don't know. If
you want I'll forward a larger TIFF for you to inspect more closely. Decide
for yourself.
On balance I'd say at this juncture I prefer the old (second) rendition of
Tri-X. Doesn't matter much, though, as I've just one roll of that emulsion
left.
