Not quite. It took as 'long' as if it had gone by ship but the point of entry on the tracking info was Dublin Airport so I presume it must have finally come by air.

I think it sat around somewhere in the USPS system for weeks until someone tripped over it and decided to finally send it.

This was not long after, possibly during, the Anthrax business. I think this might have been a contributing factor.

That was nothing like as bad as the 50/1.2 I bought from a place in Texas. It took 4 months to reach me, when I was living in Australia. I really had thought I had either been stung or it had been lost. Turned out the person sent to post it had decided to economise on the postage even though I paid for air.

Yes, in fact didn't the SS4000 that I shipped to you get sent on a boat by
mistake?  I seem to remember we were sure it was lost.
