Most anything from Adaptec (www.adaptec.com) works reliably and is
following the standards pretty well. Unless your scanners are grossly
misbehaving, I'd say they'll connect fine to an (any, even)
adaptec-card. As for drivers to W98, I do not know that OS and cannot
comment on neither existance nor quality of such.

www.adaptec.com has a lot of usefull information to this end,
describing cables, connecters etc.

I do not understand why it is you say you cannot connect the two
scanners to the same (existing) SCSI-card. Except, of course, if your
scsi-cards are seriously crippled....
