Thanks for your time.
Well, I supposed a longer exposure time on Sest Again because of what seemed
to me a longer star trail, but maybe I just didn't take enough time to
compare. As for the colour of the sky, I think you're right about the
scanner.

Take a look at a Matt BenDaniel's 8 hours exposure with a 16 mm @5.6,
pubished in his website. North pole and the whole circle of the stars.
Interesting, no overexposure of the houses lit with their own lights. I
couldn't avoid overexposing the houses in a very similar picture with my
21mm @ 5.6. I'll ask him how did he do it.

I bet your OM4 on auto will allow much more than 4 minutes, try it. I know
what the user's manual say. Unless it is very different to my OM2, I
remember having done several pictures on auto mode with exposures up to one
hour @ ASA 64. Can't remember the ASA setting of the film you made these
pictures on. The higher the ASA, the shorter the meter range. If in doubt,
overexpose +1 to +2. Batteries always sufficed, but an OM4 could be a
different story regarding this issue.
