Jez--

That was me. I ordered two extra adapters based on my omniscient
notion that, since Olympus had stopped making OM bodies, Tamron
would soon stop making OM adapters. I still believe that will
happen, and sooner rather than later. I could be wrong.

In any event, the two are no longer "extra." Almost immediately
after their arrival, I came upon a really good deal on a LNIB
Tamron 24/2.5, so there went one adapter. Now my wide angle
lenses go in proper order: 17/3.5 Tamron, 21/2 Zuiko, 24/2.5
Tamron, 28/2.8 Carl Zeiss Jena, and 35/2 Zuiko. Obviously, I like
wide angle lenses. I have never been able to decide which sort of
lens I like more, wide angle, normal, or telephoto. Must be some
kind of disease.

Then there was my Tamron 90/2.8 macro. The adapter on it was of
the sort with the screw hole in the position where it seriously
offended an OM-4 or OM-3. I had filled the hole with epoxy, and I
had done a perfect job. It was not possible to feel even the
slightest irregularity where the hole was filled in. But every
time I mounted this lens, the old saying "penny wise and pound
foolish" came to mind. And there went the other new adapter.

End of too long story. I no longer have any extra Adaptall 2
mounts, except one with a perfectly epoxied screw hole. Hey, I'm
good with epoxy. :-)

Congratulations on the fang. It's a great lens, one of my
favorites.

Walt
