well, when i went back to the shop, they sill had the lens is sparkling
condition. i was able to talk them down enough to get it, a cheap rubber
hood and an old OM-1 brochure (the long blue skinny kind) for just under
one bill with tax!
i hope to get some chromes behind it tis w/e and will report the results.
it does seem a bit awkward that it is so long for such a short FL range, but
it fits well in the hand and is easy to use.
