All of this talk about meters has me thinking about getting a handheld meter,
some AI Nikkor primes, and a film body.

By the time I get the hang of the meter, I'll be saving for a digital back.
I'll be able to meter manually, then shoot manually
using trailing-edge, cheap, fast primes.

[The Canon FD lenses don't even mount up on an EOS without an adapter. I don't
want a whole fleet of AF lenses.]

But I do want these in MF, next time:
20 (slow is okay), 28 (2.8 is okay), 90 macro (2.8 is okay), 135 (2.8 is okay).

The hole in the middle will be an AF-D 50 1.8. I need the speed and the "D"
part will make a really great partner for an external,
TTL flash. (Variable Auto fill with a $75 prime, anyone?)

What do you guys think? Should I consider a 28-90 f/2.8 D to replace the 3
middle lenses next time?

Lama
