What is the problem? Gary explained his rating system politely,
despite the phrasing of the original question.
Since the prevailing ratings used on the Bay tend to misuse 'mint',
sellers wishing to attract buyers have to adopt the terminology in
common usage or they risk underselling their goods.
If Gary listed something as EXC++, he might loose out to someone
describing equivalent goods as Mint.
I would bet the condition of Gary's goods would match his stated
ratings, if they didn't, then you would have good reason to gripe.
