Yes, the very earliest MD1 did not have the 2.5mm remote jack - you had to
use a Relay Cord to get remote control. Those versions also did not have
the recess in the MD body for the MD cap from the OM-1 (perhaps because the
earliest OM-1 didn't have a cap for the MD?).
My S/N 004987 is one such.

Hi, can anyone tell me the history of the Motor Drive 1 versions?
I have now seen two different firing buttons, one like the Winder 1/2 and
the Motor Drive 2, and another with a larger firing Button.
Is it just a matter of earlier verions?
