[OM] OM-4 Stiff Shutter Speed Ring

On top of all the other problems with the computer, my OM-4 has developed a very stiff shutter speed ring . . . it is very difficult to turn. Right now it's sitting on "blue" 1/60th and I'm using it purely in TTL mode.

Anyone else encounter this (what was the cause)? Is this something that can be (might be) fixed without too much difficulty by removing the lens mounting flange and cleaning things around the shutter speed ring? A bit leary about removing the three screws without knowing first if I need to watch for springs and other small parts. A bit different from the earlier OM bodies, the OM-4 has the reset pin also.

Thanks,
-- John
